83 percent of applicants to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 90 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Stevens Point enrolled 9,086 students in fall 2018, including 8,771 in undergraduate and 315 in graduate programs, data shows. 6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

87 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wisconsin, and 12 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (85 percent) and Asian (4 percent).

The school admitted 83 percent of the 4,493 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 48 percent enrolled.
