2021 has 4.3% of Wood County residents unemployed

Wood County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,599 people out of the 74,107 living in Wood County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Wood County has increased compared to the 4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Wood County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 35,640 people who had a job during that time, 12 were employed in the Armed Forces and 35,628 belonged to the civilian labor force.
