U.S. Tom Tiffany (R-Wisc.) said Congress needs to stop funding Biden’s “border invasion” policies and start using “the power of the purse” to address the illegal immigration crisis.
“Why on earth would Congress continue to fund Biden’s Border Invasion?” Tiffany said in a post on X. “We have the power of the purse. Now is the time to use it.”
Tiffany posted a clip from the New York post with his statement, which showed hundreds of migrants breaking down barriers and rushing at U.S. Border Patrol agents at the border in El Paso.
A large group of immigrants, some 600, were ammassing at the border as part of a “Spring Rush” attempt to cross the border. After members of the Texas National Guard started separating women and children from the adult men to try and create smaller groups to address, the men starting pulling down a concertina wire barrier and running past guards trying to hold them back, reported the New York Post.
Tom Tiffany has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Wisconsin`s 7th District, since 2020. He previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2011 to 2013, on the Wisconsin State Senate from 2013 to 2020.
Tom Tiffany, 65, was born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957. He currently lives in Minocqua. Tiffany graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls in 1980 with a BS.
