Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07) announced today that his office is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional App Challenge. The challenge is open to all middle school and high school students (6th-12th grades) in the Seventh Congressional District.

"The Congressional App Challenge is a great opportunity for students in the Seventh District that are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to develop an app and compete against their peers," said Congressman Tiffany.

The winner from the Seventh Congressional District will be selected by a panel of expert judges. The winning app will have the honor of being displayed in the U.S. Capitol.

The Congressional App Challenge was officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015. This nationwide initiative allows students to compete against their peers by creating an application (also known as an "app") for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, Raspberry Pi, or other devices. The competition accepts any programming language, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or "block code."

All applications must be submitted by Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:59 PM. For more information on competition guidelines please visit Congressman Tiffany’s website. For any questions, please contact Dylan Anderson at (715) 298-9344 or email Dylan.Anderson2@mail.house.gov.
