FOIA Request Sent to Town of Franzen Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024

FOIA Request to Town of Franzen Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Central Wisconsin News have submitted a request for public records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq. The request was made to the Town of Franzen and is specifically for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.

As a media organization, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. We believe that this information will be instrumental in ensuring that our reporting remains as accurate and up-to-date as possible.

We have requested these records preferably in electronic format for ease of analysis and dissemination. As members of the media involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

We look forward to receiving this information from the Town of Franzen so that we can continue with our mission of providing comprehensive news coverage on local governmental affairs. We remain committed to ensuring that all relevant parties are held accountable and that transparency is maintained at all times.

We await their response and will keep you updated with any developments.
