FOIA Request to Town Of Texas Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Central Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records of new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024.
We believe that access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. As we are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we have requested for a fee waiver as media professionals.
