FOIA Request to Town Of Cleveland Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at Central Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records of new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024.
The request was sent with the intention of gathering and reporting accurate news to the public. Access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
In our role as a media organization, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver. This would allow us to continue disseminating important information without undue financial burden.
We await a response from the Town Of Cleveland and will update our readers as soon as more information becomes available.
