FOIA Request Sent to Village of Rudolph Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Village of Rudolph regarding new voter registrations on November 7, 2024. As a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Central Wisconsin News are seeking transparency in the electoral process.

The specific request made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., was for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. This information is vital in our efforts to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public.

As part of our professional responsibilities as journalists, access to public records is essential. We believe that we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional due to our role in disseminating information.

We have reached out to the Village of Rudolph for any queries they may have regarding this request and await their response.
