Works by interior architecture students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point are being showcased at the Edna Carlsten Art Gallery. The exhibition, titled "ROOTed," will be open to the public from December 13 to January 9.
The exhibition's name reflects four key philosophies that graduating students identified as central to their education at UWSP: resilience, origin, opportunity, and transformation. These themes highlight their experiences of overcoming challenges, embracing diverse backgrounds, gaining industry exposure, and evolving into skilled professionals.
The Interior Architecture program at UW-Stevens Point offers a comprehensive education covering various project types such as residential and corporate design. Students develop skills in schematic planning, drafting, 3D modeling, and more.
An opening reception for "ROOTed" is scheduled for Friday, December 13 from 2-5 p.m. Gallery hours are noon-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.
Parking for attendees is available in lot R south of the Noel Fine Arts Center with metered payment required via the Passport parking app.
