Today, Congressman Tom Tiffany from Wisconsin's 7th District expressed his support for the FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) following its passage in the House. Tiffany emphasized concerns about the current administration's focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, suggesting they have been prioritized over military readiness.

"Under the Biden administration, our military has focused on DEI initiatives at the expense of lethality and the well-being of service members," said Congressman Tiffany. "Today's NDAA prioritizes military readiness, ensuring our forces are equipped to protect America at home and abroad."

The approved bill includes several key provisions. It grants a 14.5% pay raise for junior enlisted service members and a 4.5% increase for all other personnel. Additionally, it bans sex change surgeries for minors under TRICARE and supports deploying the National Guard to the southern border. The act does not allocate new military funding to Ukraine and seeks to roll back certain race-based preferences within the military.
