Rep. Tom Tiffany, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 7th district, has been vocal on social media regarding recent political actions and policies. His recent tweets have addressed issues such as federal funding for sanctuary cities and gender participation in sports.
On February 5, 2025, Rep. Tiffany announced what he described as a significant victory following Attorney General Pam Bondi's directive to the Department of Justice to pause all federal funding for sanctuary cities. He stated, "If you aren’t going to follow federal immigration law, you shouldn’t receive federal funds. It’s that simple."
Later that day, Rep. Tiffany criticized Democrats for allowing girls to face injuries and lose titles due to men competing in women's sports. He expressed gratitude towards President Biden for signing an executive order aimed at protecting female athletes, stating "Thank you, @POTUS, for protecting female athletes and signing an EO to end this insanity."
On February 6, 2025, Rep. Tiffany addressed the issue of gender participation in sports again by criticizing how media outlets were covering the topic. He tweeted "*It’s seeking to bar MEN from competing in women’s sports. I fixed it for you." This comment was directed at what he referred to as "Associated Propaganda."
