Wisconsin Representative Tom Tiffany has described Kash Patel's confirmation as FBI Director as a "huge win" for the American people. He said that Patel will "expose the Deep State" and ensure that the FBI operates in the interest of Americans. Tiffany made these remarks in a February 20 post on X.
"Kash Patel was just CONFIRMED as Director of the FBI," said Rep. Tom Tiffany. "This is a HUGE WIN for the American people. Director Patel will expose the Deep State and ensure the FBI is working for Americans, not against them."
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), on February 21, Kash Patel was sworn in as the ninth Director of the FBI during a ceremony held in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Pamela Bondi administered the oath of office. Patel was nominated by President Donald Trump to succeed former FBI Director Christopher Wray.

In a post on X, Patel expressed his honor at being confirmed as FBI Director, extending his gratitude to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for their support. He emphasized the necessity for a transparent and accountable FBI, asserting that politicalization within the justice system must cease. Patel outlined his mission to support law enforcement, rebuild trust in the FBI, and ensure accountability, stating "Mission First. America Always."

It investigates and enforces laws related to national security, civil rights, and organized crime using intelligence, technology, and specialized tactics to investigate crimes and apprehend suspects. The agency's mission is to safeguard communities, uphold justice, and protect critical infrastructure by addressing both domestic and international criminal activities.
Tiffany represents Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District after being elected in May 2020 during a special election. He grew up on a dairy farm near Elmwood, Wisconsin, and holds a degree in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Before joining Congress, Tiffany served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate with a focus on tax reduction, job creation, and protection of Second Amendment rights.
