A student exhibition is taking place at the Edna Carlsten Gallery, located within the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The event showcases the 2025 Student Juried Show. The exhibition is open to the public, running from April 17 to May 3. It features works by students in various fields, including art, graphic design, and media studies.
Wisconsin artists Brad Killam and Michelle Grabner are serving as jurors for the exhibition. The jurying process and awards will be public, with a reception scheduled for April 24 between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. The gallery, on the second floor of the Noel Fine Arts Center, welcomes visitors during its operational hours from noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. There is no admission fee.
A total of 43 student works are featured in the exhibition. Select students will receive cash prizes for their outstanding contributions. Grabner, a Guggenheim Fellow, is a Crown Family Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Killam is a professor at the College of DuPage. The two have worked together on sculptures, films, and videos since the 1990s, presenting their work nationwide.
The Edna Carlsten Art Gallery is known for exhibiting works from various artists and hosting community events. It also oversees a collection of fine art and design. The Schneider Gallery, located within the Carlsten Gallery, is dedicated to showcasing student artwork, providing a platform for experimentation and practical gallery experience for university students.
