Representative Tom Tiffany, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020, recently expressed his views on immigration and Medicaid through a series of tweets. Tiffany succeeded Sean Duffy and has a history of public service, having served in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate.

On May 6, 2025, Tiffany shared a video highlighting Governor Evers' remarks about undocumented workers in Wisconsin. He stated, "WATCH: Governor Evers says he’s been to places in Wisconsin where 'there’s huge numbers of undocumented workers.' It’s no wonder he directed state employees to block immigration enforcement—he’s more interested in protecting illegal aliens than Wisconsinites."

The following day, on May 7, 2025, Tiffany tweeted about Medicaid policies for certain demographics. He argued that "Able-bodied, working-aged, childless adults should not be allowed to sit on the couch and collect Medicaid benefits that you are paying for. They should be required to work, which 80% of Wisconsinites support." He urged Congress to take action on this issue.

Later that same day, Tiffany reiterated his stance on Medicaid and immigration with another tweet. He emphasized that "Illegal aliens should not receive Medicaid. Able-bodied adults should be required to work and move off Medicaid. All waste, fraud, and abuse of Medicaid should be rooted out." According to him, these measures would protect the program for vulnerable populations.

Tom Tiffany was born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and currently resides in Minocqua. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980.
