Tom Tiffany, U.S. Representative of Wisconsin's 7th congressional district | Official U.S. House Headshot
Rep. Tom Tiffany, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 7th district, has expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Tiffany, who replaced Sean Duffy in 2020 and has been active in state politics since 2011, addressed topics ranging from international relations to domestic policy.
On May 21, 2025, Rep. Tiffany tweeted about former President Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO). He stated that "President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the WHO, and Congress must codify this decision ASAP." He emphasized his stance by adding that the U.S. should not spend any more resources on what he referred to as a "corrupt, China-first organization." The original tweet can be found here.
The following day, May 22, 2025, Tiffany commented on a reconciliation bill passed by Congress. He described it as fulfilling promises made to Americans by providing financial benefits such as "more money in your pocket," securing borders, reducing energy costs, and eliminating taxes on tips or overtime while addressing fraud issues. He urged further legislative action: "To keep the momentum, the House must codify EOs and pass spending cuts next." The full tweet is available here.
Later that same day, Tiffany addressed an incident involving violence against Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington. He condemned the act as antisemitic violence fueled by rhetoric from certain political voices: "The targeted murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington is an act of antisemitic violence — driven by dangerous rhetoric from voices on the Left." He called for justice for the victims' families and encouraged prayers for them. His statement can be accessed here.
Tom Tiffany was born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and currently resides in Minocqua. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a BS degree obtained in 1980, he has been serving Wisconsin's constituents since joining Congress.
