University of Wisconsin Steven's Point issued the following announcement on Nov. 14
The No. 11 UW-Stevens Point men's hockey (4-2-0) scored three goals in the span of 1:12 in the second period to earn a 4-1 win over Bethel (5-1-0).
Freshman Fletcher Anderson (Thunder Bay, Ont.) netted his first career goal on the power play at 7:55 of the first. Carter Roo (Champlin, Minn.) picked up an assist on the play.
Then at 4:50 of the second, Jordan Roo (Champlin, Minn.) extended the lead to 2-0 off an assist from Noah Finstrom (New Baltimore, Mich.).
Just 25 seconds later, Brett Humberstone (Kingston, Ont.) put the puck in the back of the net. Carter Roo (Champlin, Minn.) and Anderson grabbed their second points of the night with assists on the play.
Brandon McReynolds (North Vancouver, B.C.) made it three goals in 72 seconds with a tally off helpers from Jake Theis (Chanhassen, Minn.) and Jordan Fader (Rice Lake, Wis.) for the 4-0 lead.
The Royals spoiled the shutout with a goal late in the second period and neither team scored in the third.
Ryan Wagner (Indianapolis, Ind.) made 18 saves to pick up his fourth win of the year. BU goaltender made 24 saves.
The Pointers open conference play on Friday (Nov. 19) at home against UW-River Falls. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
