80.7% of Portage County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 70,378 citizens living in Portage County in 2021, 80.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 56,786 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 28,706 were male, constituting 50.6%, and 28,080 were female, making up 49.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Portage County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78%.
