3.2% of citizens unemployed in Marathon County in 2021

Marathon County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,387 people out of the 137,597 living in Marathon County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Marathon County has increased compared to the 3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Marathon County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 72,334 people who had a job during that time, 64 were employed in the Armed Forces and 72,270 belonged to the civilian labor force.
