Congressman Tom Tiffany has announced a meet and greet event featuring Col. Riley Post, the Deputy Director of Admissions at the United States Military Academy West Point. The event is scheduled for March 12th at Athens High School in Wisconsin, beginning at 2:00 PM CT. This session aims to provide students, parents, and school counselors with insights into attending West Point.
The gathering will be held at Athens High School located at 601 W Limit Road in Athens, WI. Congressman Tiffany extended an invitation to all interested students within the Seventh District to attend this informative session. He stated, “Serving in our nation’s military is a great honor. I invite all students in the Seventh District to join Col. Riley Post and a member of my staff to learn more about the process of being accepted into a service academy.”
Prospective students aiming for military service must first secure a nomination from their Congressional Delegation, the Vice President, or the President before receiving an offer from an academy. Admission grants them a four-year university education with a commitment to serve in the military for five years after graduation.
Further details on service academy nominations can be found on Congressman Tiffany’s website.
