Registration is now open for the summer and fall terms at Mid-State Technical College, offering various educational opportunities for students.
Over the summer, attendees have the option to begin associate degrees, technical diplomas, or certificates, with classes commencing in May, June, and July. New offerings this year include nine business foundational certificates, such as Business Communications Foundations and Human Resources Foundations. Key programs that can be finished during the summer include Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, and Stainless Steel Welding.
For the fall semester, classes will start in August. New students in selected programs have access to specific scholarships. The Precision Machining Technician program has scholarships of $2,500, renewable each semester with support from the Gene Haas Foundation. The Respiratory Therapy program offers $1,000 scholarships funded by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Other programs available in either summer or fall sessions include Business Management, Civil Engineering Technology-Highway Technician, Early Childhood Education, Hospitality Management, Industrial Mechanical Technician, and University Transfer.
