Mid-State Technical College and the Marshfield Job Center have announced a partnership aimed at improving access to career and college services in downtown Marshfield. The Marshfield Job Center, which was previously located on S. Cedar Ave., will now operate from Mid-State on Central every Tuesday through Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

At the new location, community members can receive assistance with résumé and cover letter development, interview preparation, job searches, connections to local employment opportunities, and access to training resources and workshops. In addition to these services provided by the Job Center, Mid-State staff will be available to help with program exploration and advising, application support, financial aid guidance, as well as enrollment processes for prospective students.

“This partnership is all about meeting people where they are and providing easy access to the resources they need to move forward—whether that’s landing a new job or starting a college program,” said Jackie Esselman, dean of Recruitment & Admissions at Mid-State Technical College.

To mark the launch of this collaboration, visitors who stop by Mid-State on Central through August will receive a free gift while learning about available services.

An Outdoor Community Job Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Mid-State on Central. The event aims to connect job seekers with local employers seeking trained professionals. Grant funding may also be available for eligible individuals interested in short-term training programs at Mid-State Technical College.

More information is available by visiting Mid-State on Central at 1619 North Central Avenue in Marshfield or calling 715-422-5300. No appointment is necessary.
