Mid-State Technical College has opened applications for two scholarships for prospective students enrolling in its Respiratory Therapy program for the fall of 2025. Sponsored by the National Board for Respiratory Care, each scholarship offers recipients $1,000.
The purpose of the Respiratory Therapy Scholarship is to "support and encourage future healthcare professionals pursuing a career in respiratory therapy."
The program at Mid-State is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to detect, treat, and manage both acute and chronic issues related to the cardiopulmonary system. Graduates work in various healthcare settings under medical supervision.
Coursework includes airway management and life support, airway clearance therapies, pulmonary rehabilitation, medication administration, and the use of therapeutic medical gasses. Classroom learning is integrated with clinical training alongside real patients using real equipment at local medical facilities.
Potential applicants are advised to learn more and apply by June 1 via the college's website, mstc.edu/respiratory-therapy-scholarship.
