Mid-State Technical College presents free summer machining training program

Mid-State Technical College will host its Metal Mania machining training program this summer, providing a free learning opportunity sponsored by the Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship. The program will run from June 9 through July 31 and offers ten seats to high school and college students, as well as those interested in machining.

Participants will engage in courses covering safety, measurement and layout, milling machines, and the setup and operation of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) mills. Upon course completion, learners will obtain the Metal Mania: Milling local certificate along with five credits applicable toward the Mid-State Precision Machining Technician program.

Applications for this program are due by Friday, May 23. Further information and application details are available at mstc.edu/metal-mania.
