As a result of Prevail Bank's Community Shred Day event in Wisconsin Rapids, $2,227 was raised for the United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties. The funds will support families and individuals in need throughout the area.

Prevail Bank and Bank-A-Count pledged to donate $1 for every pound of paper shredded, with each committing up to $1,000. The community responded by bringing in 1,715 pounds of documents for safe destruction and recycling. Additionally, the public contributed $227 in donations, bringing the total amount raised to $2,227.

A check presentation took place at United Way where Tari Jahns, United Way CEO, accepted the donation from Taylor Doescher, Prevail Bank Branch Manager, and Nathan Quinnell, Prevail Bank CEO/President.

“This event was a win-win,” said Doescher. “We helped people protect their personal information while supporting a cause that makes a real difference right here in our community.”

Prevail Bank is known for its efforts to give back and support communities in central Wisconsin.
