First State Bank has announced the promotion of Derek Blanchard to Vice President, Business Banker. Previously serving as a Senior Credit Analyst, Blanchard is recognized for his expertise in credit analysis and customer-focused financial strategy.

Since joining First State Bank in 2022, Blanchard has been instrumental in evaluating credit risk and supporting lending initiatives through detailed financial analysis. In his new role, he will work directly with local businesses to offer customized banking solutions such as commercial lending, cash management, and strategic financial planning.

Residing in Marshfield with his wife Nicole and four sons—Dominick (14), Deacon (12), Dax (5), and Damon (2)—Blanchard enjoys golfing and coaching track and field at Marshfield Middle School. He also serves as head coach of Hub City Track Club in Marshfield.
