The Mid-State Technical College Foundation, Inc. has appointed Nikki Dhein as its new Foundation & Alumni director. The decision was made unanimously by the Foundation Board on April 23.
"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to step into this esteemed position," Dhein stated. "I look forward to strengthening relationships with business partners and donors as we work together to remove financial barriers to student success."
Dhein has been with Mid-State since 2023, serving as the donor relations manager. In this role, she supported the Foundation’s mission by connecting with donors to support student success and organizing events that fund scholarships and emergency grants.
Mary Jo Green, president of the Mid-State Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about Dhein's new role: “We are thrilled that Nikki will be stepping into the role of Foundation director,” Green said. “Her current knowledge of the Foundation and ability to develop positive relationships with donors and students in her current role as donor manager is an asset that she will be able to further develop as director. Her communication and organization skills will lead the Foundation into the future to meet the needs of our donors, students, alumni and the College.”
In addition to her experience at Mid-State, Dhein brings over two decades of experience in radio under her former name Nikki Montgomery. She has collaborated with various organizations on events and planned fundraising activities for nonprofits such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, Northwoods Veterans Post, Humane Society of Marathon County, American Red Cross Disaster Relief among others.
Founded in 1979, the Mid-State Technical College Foundation is a nonprofit entity associated with but distinct from Mid-State Technical College.
