City of Marshfield issued the following on Nov. 24
Limited public access to some City facilities
The Common Council voted unanimously at its regular Common Council meeting on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 to continue to limit public access and the closure of City owned buildings if necessary due to rise in Coronavirus cases in the area.
The discussion ratified an emergency proclamation that was set forth by Mayor Bob McManus nearly a week ago to help protect City employees and citizens. With Council's approval voting unanimously in favor, now authorizes the City Administrator to direct closure or other appropriate limitations related to access by the public in all City buildings; and shall be implemented consistent with applicable laws.
During this time City staff will be available to answer phone calls and e-mails during regular business hours Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, patrons can speak to a customer service team member via remote means from the lobby area too.
Public meetings will also be made available to the public by means of electronic delivery and when possible an actual physical location to be determined, such as the Council Chambers.
"Our top priority is to provide excellent customer service out to the public and be safe at the same time," said City Administrator Steve Barg.
