Athens Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 20.
The Village of Athens is accepting applications for a SUMMER PART-TIME position in the Public Works department with an average of up to 20 hours per week.
Job Duties will primarily be lawn mowing and trim work of the Village Properties. In addition, the Public Works Department may need assistance in other Village projects throughout the summer. We are looking for a self-motivated person with a flexible schedule, has general maintenance knowledge and is willing to learn.
Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Application deadline is 1pm on Tuesday, July 20, 2021
