Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 17.
Mid-State Technical College and the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department will host an event to celebrate its Marshfield Fire Training Center partnership. This 10-year partnership will leverage financial resources to provide relevant and local training opportunities to our area firefighters who serve our communities each day. The event starts with a photo opportunity for the partnership at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, followed with comments and refreshments from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Media are invited to this private event.

See the existing training site and equipment.
Hear about long-term plans to improve the site with new props and equipment such as a forcible entry prop, Denver drill prop, Pittsburg prop and a Draeger fire simulation system.

About the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department
The Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department is a full-time career fire and EMS department providing a wide variety of services including fire protection for the City of Marshfield and mutual aid response to our neighboring agencies. In addition, the department is licensed at the Critical Care Paramedic level, providing the highest level of pre-hospital care to the citizens we proudly serve. The ambulance division not only covers the City of Marshfield but also covers 13 townships and villages, totaling approximately 316 square miles as well as providing paramedic intercepts for area basic life support ambulance services and interfacility transports for Marshfield Clinic Health System.
