Grand Reopening means fresh look for Wisconsin Rapids Goodwill Shoppers | Flickr by Onasill - Bill Badzo - Have a Sunshine Day

Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin (Goodwill NCW) has reopened their Wisconsin Rapids store location after a temporary closure for remodeling. The store has a fresh look, including new floors, and is now open to shoppers and donors during regular store hours Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

The community is invited to attend a reopening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony. Those in attendance can receive free giveaways and will be eligible to enter for a chance to win a $25 gift card.

On average, the Goodwill NCW store in Wisconsin Rapids employs more than 30 full- and part-time team members and up to 15 program participants, providing support to build skills and career pathways. Retail sales allow the nonprofit store to deliver programs and services to the community. Among the various programs offered, the organization partners with Lincoln and River Cities high schools to provide School-to-Work, which focuses on preparing students for their next steps in life with hands-on job skills training opportunities. Goodwill NCW also partners with nonprofits like Opportunity Development Centers in Wisconsin Rapids to support program participants as they gain skills for greater independence and an improved quality of life.
