Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07) has announced the winners of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) for Wisconsin's Seventh District. The CAC provides a platform for middle and high school students interested in coding to showcase their skills and compete against students from across the United States.
"I want to thank everyone who submitted an application to this year's Congressional App Challenge and congratulate those on the winning team on their exceptional submission. I am more impressed each year by the young computer scientists in Wisconsin's Seventh District," said Congressman Tiffany.
The first-place app, VolunTrack WI, developed by Dagmar Beckel, Peter Wise, and Casey Haugen from the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser School District, emerged as the winner. As a result, their app will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol and featured on the House of Representatives website. Additionally, they will have the honor of being invited to the #HouseofCode Capitol Hill Reception in the spring.
The Congressional App Challenge serves as a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their coding skills and creativity. Congressman Tiffany's website provides further information on the CAC for those interested in participating in future competitions.
