Tom Tiffany, a U.S. Congress member representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020, recently shared his views on various political issues via social media posts. Tiffany, who succeeded Sean Duffy and has served in different legislative roles since 2011, expressed concerns over several matters involving government shutdowns and border security.
In a post dated March 13, 2025, Tiffany criticized the Democratic Party's stance on government funding: "A year later, Democrats want a #SchumerShutdown that threatens services for moms and kids, hurts our veterans, farmers, homebuyers, and so much more. House Republicans passed a bill to keep the government open; extreme Senate Democrats are shutting it down."
On the same day, Tiffany accused Democrats of misleading claims about border security legislation. He wrote: "Remember when Democrats and the liberal media spent months claiming a bill was needed to secure the border? They lied. President Trump secured it in one month without any new legislation."
Later that evening, he highlighted differences in migration numbers under different administrations after visiting the Darien Gap: "I traveled to the Darien Gap and saw the mass migration firsthand under Biden—what a difference President Trump has made. Feb 2024: 37,166 Feb 2025: 408 Biden and Harris were the real 'root cause.'"
