Rep. Tom Tiffany, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin's 7th district since 2020, has made recent statements via social media concerning legislative priorities and political critiques. These statements reflect his ongoing advocacy for agricultural policy and his stance on immigration and energy issues.
On March 16, Rep. Tiffany urged Congress to pass the FARM Act, a bill he has introduced multiple times. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing American farmland over what he described as the "Green Fantasy." In his words: "Bravo! Now it’s time for Congress to follow suit by passing the FARM Act—the bill I’ve introduced three sessions in a row. Let’s put an end to the Green Fantasy and put American farmland first!"
On March 17, Rep. Tiffany criticized Democratic policies regarding immigration enforcement. He claimed that Democrats are enabling members of the Tren de Aragua gang to remain in the United States despite their illegal status. His tweet stated: "First, Democrats allowed Tren de Aragua members into our country. Now, a rogue judge and Democrats are fighting to keep them here. Why are they protecting illegal gang members instead of U.S. citizens?"
Later that day, Rep. Tiffany attributed falling gas prices in Wisconsin to what he termed "The Trump effect." His brief comment was: "The Trump effect is lowering gas prices for all Wisconsinites."
