This June, Mid-State Technical College plans to host HealthQuest: Nursing Exploration Camp for high school students interested in exploring nursing careers. Two sessions are scheduled, allowing students to attend the camp either on June 10 or June 17. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the college's Wisconsin Rapids Campus.
Participants will engage in hands-on activities and simulations that offer a glimpse into the nursing profession. The camp itinerary also includes a visit to Mid-State’s Healthcare Simulation Center at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital and a tour of the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.
Eligibility for participation requires students to be at least 16 years old and entering 11th or 12th grade in the upcoming fall semester. The camp is offered at no cost to attendees due to funding from the state of Wisconsin Workforce Innovation Grant (WIG).
