Rep. Tom Tiffany, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 7th district, recently took to social media to express his views on various issues pertaining to immigration and national policies.
On April 28, 2025, Tiffany commented on social media about a Milwaukee judge who allegedly assisted a "violent illegal alien" in avoiding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Tiffany stated, "Liberals are defending a Milwaukee judge who helped a violent illegal alien, charged with battery and domestic abuse, evade ICE by directing him to use a side door in her courtroom." He further criticized Democrats, claiming, "Democrats don’t stand with victims; they stand with illegal aliens."
Later the same day, Tiffany addressed the issue of sanctuary cities, labeling them as a threat to Americans. In his statement, he asserted, "Sanctuary cities are an illegal threat to every American." He advocated for financial consequences, stating, "Any jurisdiction that doesn’t comply with ICE should have their federal funding CUT OFF." Tiffany also mentioned Madison, WI as an example of sanctuary jurisdictions to be considered by legal authorities.
Continuing his discourse into the following day, Tiffany reflected on the early achievements of former President Donald Trump. Praising Trump's first 100 days in office, Tiffany remarked on his social media platform that Trump had, "Secured the border. Lowered gas prices. Ended DEI programs. Boosted investments. Cut government waste. Brought hostages home. Deported gang members. Protected women’s sports. Revived military recruitment." He further affirmed, "Promises made. Promises kept."
Tom Tiffany, aged 65, was born in Wabasha, Minnesota, and currently resides in Minocqua. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls in 1980. Tiffany has represented the 7th District of Wisconsin in Congress since 2020, following his predecessors' retirement.
