Rep. Tom Tiffany, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 7th district, has recently made several statements on social media regarding immigration and state governance issues. Having replaced Sean Duffy in 2020, Tiffany brings a history of legislative experience from his previous roles in the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate.

On May 9, 2025, Rep. Tiffany expressed concerns about actions taken by Democrats concerning immigration enforcement. He stated that "Democrats are storming ICE facilities, traveling to El Salvador to meet with criminal illegal aliens, and ordering state employees to block immigration enforcement." He questioned whether they understood that "the American people voted for mass deportations."

The following day, May 10, he commented on remarks made by Governor Tony Evers regarding the impact of illegal immigration on Wisconsin's schools and workforce. Rep. Tiffany described it as "bizarre" to hear Gov. Evers say that illegal aliens flooding Wisconsin’s schools and workforce 'is working, goddammit!' He criticized this perspective by highlighting concerns over cheap labor undermining the rule of law and straining educational resources.

Tom Tiffany was born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and resides in Minocqua. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a BS degree obtained in 1980, he has been actively involved in politics for several decades.
