Congressman Tom Tiffany has announced the 2025 Service Academy Day, scheduled for Saturday, July 12th in Merrill. The event will take place at the Northwoods Veterans Post from 10 AM to 1 PM, with registration starting at 9:30 AM.

“It is my honor to invite all students in the Seventh District who are interested in serving in our nation’s military to attend my Service Academy Day. It is a great opportunity to get firsthand insight into both the application and nomination processes,” said Congressman Tiffany.

The purpose of Service Academy Days is to acquaint students and parents residing within Wisconsin's Seventh Congressional District with the procedures for applying and obtaining nominations for U.S. service academies. The deadline for submitting an application for a service academy nomination from Congressman Tiffany is Friday, September 26th at 5 PM CST.

During the event, students will have the chance to learn best practices for seeking a nomination from members of Congressman Tiffany’s staff and representatives from all five military branches. Parents, teachers, and students of any grade level are encouraged to attend without any charge.

To be admitted to one of the nation's military service academies, high school students must receive a nomination from a member of their state's Congressional Delegation, the Vice President, or the President of the United States. Those accepted receive a fully funded four-year university education and a commission as a U.S. military officer upon graduation.
