Tom Tiffany, U.S. Representative of Wisconsin's 7th congressional district | Official U.S. House Headshot
Rep. Tom Tiffany, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020, has recently shared his views on several pressing issues via social media. Born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and residing in Minocqua, Tiffany has been active in politics for over a decade, previously serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate.
On June 9, 2025, Rep. Tiffany expressed concerns about the policies of Governor Evers, suggesting they could lead to increased lawlessness similar to what he perceives is happening in California. He stated "The lawlessness ruining California is the future Governor Evers wants for Wisconsin." He further criticized Evers for allegedly instructing state employees to obstruct federal law enforcement.
In another post dated June 10, 2025, Tiffany addressed the national debt issue by attributing it to excessive government spending rather than insufficient taxation. He urged legislative action by stating "America isn’t drowning in debt because taxes are too low." He called for the House to pass rescissions and individual appropriations bills as steps toward achieving a balanced budget.
Later that day, Rep. Tiffany commented on a vote concerning a terror attack condemnation resolution. He noted that "113 Democrats voted against condemning the terror attack in Boulder, Colorado." This statement raised questions about where these members' allegiances lie.
Tom Tiffany graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 and has been an influential figure within his constituency since replacing Sean Duffy in Congress.
