Rep. Tom Tiffany, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020, recently addressed his constituents through social media on pressing issues affecting the community.
On June 18, 2025, Rep. Tiffany alerted the public to financial scams targeting elderly residents in Wisconsin. He stated, "BE AWARE: Illegal aliens are targeting elderly Wisconsinites with financial scams." He urged individuals who receive threats demanding money to contact local law enforcement immediately and emphasized the need to protect seniors and deport those involved in such criminal activities.
In another post dated June 19, 2025, Rep. Tiffany expressed concern over potential tax increases should the Trump Tax Cuts expire. He warned that American families could face a $1,700 tax hike, which he equated to approximately nine weeks of grocery expenses. He argued for the extension of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) to prevent what he described as "the largest tax increase in history."
Tom Tiffany has been serving in Congress since replacing Sean Duffy in 2020 and has a long history of public service within Wisconsin's legislative bodies. Born in Wabasha, Minnesota, he is a University of Wisconsin–River Falls graduate and resides in Minocqua.
