Rep. Tom Tiffany, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020, has shared his thoughts on recent legislative developments through social media. With a history in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate, Tiffany has been vocal about policies affecting tax cuts and border security.

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Tiffany emphasized the benefits of a new legislative proposal by stating that it "provides tax cuts for seniors, parents, workers, and small businesses". He also highlighted that the bill includes no taxes on tips and overtime, aims to remove those present illegally in the country, rewards hard work, and protects Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for seniors and vulnerable populations.

In another post from the same day at 18:35 UTC, he outlined his top priorities leading into the election period: securing the border and providing relief to families. He mentioned that "the OBBB keeps those promises," acknowledging that while reversing four years of previous policy impacts with one bill is not feasible, this legislation represents "a strong first step toward a better future."

Later that evening at 23:08 UTC, Rep. Tiffany announced an impending significant development regarding national tax policy by tweeting "Tomorrow, President Trump signs the LARGEST TAX CUT in American history into law." He concluded with a sentiment reflecting optimism for what he perceives as progress: "Freedom is winning."

Tom Tiffany has served in Congress since replacing Sean Duffy in 2020 after earlier political roles within Wisconsin's state government. Born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and currently residing in Minocqua at age 65, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
