Representative Tom Tiffany, who has served Wisconsin’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2020, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing healthcare policy, immigration enforcement, and environmental management. Tiffany, who previously served in both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature and holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, continues to comment on national and local issues through his official channels.
On July 10, 2025, Tiffany criticized Democratic positions on Medicaid eligibility and system overload. He stated: "Democrats say illegal aliens don’t get Medicaid — but 1.4 million do. Democrats claim most able-bodied adults on Medicaid work — but over 60% report no income. This overloads the system and delays care for those truly in need. That’s why Republicans fixed it in the OBBB."
The following day, July 11, 2025, Tiffany commented on an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) rescuing unaccompanied minors from a California marijuana farm. He wrote: "Democrats are upset that ICE rescued unaccompanied minors from a California pot farm? Sounds like child labor on drug plantations is now part of their party platform."
Later on July 11, 2025, Tiffany addressed comments made by Premier Kinew regarding his advocacy for proactive forest management to mitigate wildfire risks. He stated: "Premier Kinew may call me an 'ambulance chaser,' but I’m making sure my constituents don’t end up in one because of wildfire smoke. Working together on PROACTIVE forest management is how we save lives and prevent future disasters. Inaction only lets the crisis grow."
Tom Tiffany was born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and currently resides in Minocqua. He replaced Sean Duffy as representative for Wisconsin’s 7th district in 2020 after serving nearly a decade in state government.
