Rep. Tom Tiffany, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 7th district since 2020, outlined key provisions of the "One Big Beautiful Bill" (OBBB) in a series of tweets posted on July 22, 2025.
In his initial post, Tiffany stated, "Whether you are raising a family, running a small business, operating a family farm, clocking in on the night shift, or living on a fixed income as a senior, the One Big Beautiful Bill was crafted to help you. Here’s what the OBBB means for you." (July 22, 2025).
He continued by addressing financial impacts for Wisconsin residents: "In Wisconsin, families are expected to take home over $7,000 more each year. According to the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation, the biggest tax cuts will benefit Americans earning under $50,000 a year." (July 22, 2025).
Highlighting support for families and children, Tiffany wrote: "The OBBB also raises the Child Tax Credit to $2,200 per child and establishes a $1,000 investment account for American newborns, helping give every child a head start. It also supports working parents by expanding the Employer-Provided Child Care Credit." (July 22, 2025).
Tom Tiffany has represented Wisconsin’s 7th District in Congress since replacing Sean Duffy in 2020. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in both the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2011 to 2013 and the Wisconsin State Senate from 2013 to 2020. Born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and currently residing in Minocqua at age 65, Tiffany graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980.
