U.S. Representative Tom Tiffany, who serves Wisconsin’s 7th district in Congress, addressed issues of political violence and immigration policy in a series of posts on his social media account this week.

On July 23, 2025, Tiffany called for accountability within the Democratic Party at the state level, stating: "Political violence of any kind must be condemned. The Wisconsin Democrat Party should fire this county party staffer. I’m waiting…"

The following day, he shared a news source with his followers by posting: "Read more from @FoxNews: https://t.co/ENIYk9tW37" on July 24, 2025.

Also on July 24, Tiffany announced new legislative action aimed at addressing visa policy in higher education employment practices. He wrote: "Too often, universities exploit an H-1B visa loophole to hire unlimited foreign workers instead of Americans. Today I introduced the CAP Act with @Rep_Clyde to end this abuse. It’s time to put American talent first."

Tom Tiffany has represented Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District since winning a special election in 2020 after Sean Duffy resigned from the seat. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Wisconsin Legislature—from 2011 to 2013 in the State Assembly and from 2013 to 2020 in the State Senate. Born in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1957 and currently residing in Minocqua, Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls (source for background information).
