Representative Tom Tiffany Criticizes House Democrats and Media Over Drunk Driving Incident Involving Illegal Immigrant

Representative Tom Tiffany, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin, posted a series of tweets on July 28 and 29, 2025, criticizing House Democrats and media coverage regarding an incident involving an illegal immigrant convicted of drunk driving.

On July 28, 2025, Tiffany wrote: "This year, 160 House Democrats voted against deporting illegal aliens convicted of drunk driving.

Now two teens are dead—killed by an illegal alien with a previous drunk driving conviction.

This is what happens when politicians put illegals over American lives."

He also shared a link in a subsequent tweet on the same day: "https://t.co/fh0IZrl2iI".

On July 29, 2025, Tiffany addressed the terminology used by media outlets in reporting the incident. He stated: "‘Wisconsin driver’ is the latest term the liberal media is using to cover up the fact that a repeat-offender illegal alien killed two teens while driving drunk.

Yes, she must pay for her crimes in prison and then be deported immediately. https://t.co/Lz14y08KKd"

Tom Tiffany has represented his district since winning election in 2020. In recent years, he secured re-election victories over Tricia Zunker in 2020 (60.7% to 39.2%), Richard Ausman in 2022 (61.8% to 38.1%), and Kyle Kilbourn in 2024 (63.6% to 36.4%).
