Rep. Tom Tiffany, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin, made several posts on his social media account in early September 2025 addressing issues related to state leadership, education, and natural resource management.
On September 7, 2025, Tiffany criticized Governor Evers' remarks about the role of undocumented immigrants in Wisconsin's economy. He stated: "Governor Evers claimed Wisconsin’s economy 'will be gone' without illegal aliens. It’s a good thing he 'will be gone' from the governor’s office. Wisconsin deserves leaders who serve working Wisconsinites, not illegal aliens."
The following day, on September 8, 2025, Tiffany commented on a hiring decision by Minnesota's Department of Education: "More Minnesota Madness: The MN Department of Education hired a convicted sex offender and a Kenyan national as a director. Oh, and he pulled in a six-figure salary."
Later that same day, Tiffany addressed concerns about the allocation of funds within Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources (DNR): "While Wisconsin hunters and anglers fund the DNR, an audit shows under 50% of Fish & Wildlife funds primarily benefit them. Yet, Governor Evers wants to punish sportsmen with higher fees to cover DNR mismanagement. Our sportsmen shouldn’t be punished for Democrat failure."
Tom Tiffany has held his congressional seat since winning election in 2020 against Tricia Zunker with approximately 60.7% of the vote. He was re-elected in subsequent general elections—defeating Richard Ausman in 2022 with about 61.8% support and Kyle Kilbourn in 2024 with around 63.6%.
