Representative Tom Tiffany, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, used his social media platform to comment on immigration enforcement and ongoing budget negotiations in late September 2025.
On September 26, 2025, Tiffany posted: "Not only were they in the country illegally, but nine of them are allegedly linked to sexual assault and child trafficking. Great work by ICE and the FBI for protecting our communities."
Later that day, he addressed legislative developments in Congress, stating: "While the House passed a clean, bipartisan budget bill, Senator Baldwin is shutting down the government because she wants you to pay for illegal aliens’ healthcare."
On September 27, Tiffany continued to criticize Senate Democrats with another post: "Democrats in the U.S. Senate are forcing a government shutdown to make you pay for illegal aliens’ healthcare. In Wisconsin, Democrats are trying to steal the gavel to push taxpayer-funded benefits for illegals. Why are they more focused on illegals than on you?"
Tom Tiffany has represented his district since winning a special election in 2020 against Tricia Zunker with approximately 60.7% of the vote. He was re-elected in subsequent cycles, defeating Richard Ausman in 2022 and Kyle Kilbourn in 2024 with similar margins.
