FOIA Request to Village of Rib Mountain Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
Central Wisconsin News, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
As a part of our mission to ensure transparency and hold public institutions accountable, we believe that access to these public records is essential. We aim to keep the public informed about important issues related to governance and democracy, including voter registration data.
In line with our role as a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we have requested that any fees associated with this request be waived.
We await the response from the Village of Rib Mountain and will continue to pursue all avenues necessary to provide our readers with accurate and timely information regarding local governmental affairs.
