FOIA Request to Village of Almond Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

At Central Wisconsin News, we are committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs. In line with this commitment, we have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records pertaining to new voter registrations in the Village of Almond.

Specifically, we have requested a list of voters who registered on November 5, 2024. This information is crucial as it helps us in our role of holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.

As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that given our role in disseminating information, we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
