Wisconsin State Representative Tom Tiffany stated that the Biden administration has been "flying illegal aliens" into the U.S. without "proper vetting" and that "Border Czar Kamala Harris" did not address issues of parole abuse and fraud. Tiffany made his statement in an Aug. 2 post on X.

"The Biden admin has been flying illegal aliens into our country without proper vetting," said Tom Tiffany (R-Wi). "I warned about this widespread parole abuse, fraud, and failed screening procedures for years. Why wasn't Border Czar Kamala Harris “rooting” out fraud?"

According to Fox News, the Biden administration has halted a program permitting up to 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S. monthly due to significant fraud detected in sponsor applications. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the pause was initiated in mid-July following an internal report on fraud while they review the sponsor filings, not those of the applicants themselves.

NBC News reported that the term "border czar," frequently used by Republicans to criticize Kamala Harris, originated in March 2021 when she was assigned to manage the influx of migrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras due to violence and crime. These countries are part of the Northern Triangle region, which has experienced significant violence and organized crime, leading to a large number of people fleeing the area. Although the White House did not officially use the term "czar," it gained traction among critics as a way to describe her role in addressing the migration issue.
