There were 6,911 students enrolled in Stevens Point Area Public School District in the 2024-25 school year, 1% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 52.2% identified themselves as boys, 47.6% as girls, and 0.1% identified themselves as non-binary or did not specify their gender.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 75.7% of the Stevens Point Area Public School District total enrollment.

Stevens Point Area Public School District covers 17 schools within Portage County, with its main office in Stevens Point.

Among the 17 schools in the district, Stevens Point Area Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,478 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
